What you can do
- Add tenders from Opportunities with Add to pipeline.
- Assign each tender to a colleague.
- Generate a Bid/no-bid report, a Buyer activity report and Proposed buyer questions.
- Record the decision: Pursue (by creating a response), No bid or Archived.
Statuses
The page has a tab for each status, and you can search by tender or buyer.
Add a tender to the pipeline
1
In Opportunities, find the tender
2
Click Add to pipeline on the card or on the detail page
3
Open Pipeline
The tender is in Triage and assigned to you. “New tenders are assigned to you by default”.
Work a tender in Triage
1
Click Review on the row to open the tender
2
Under Assignee, choose who owns the decision
3
Check the details and key dates
Check Details (buyer, contact, current supplier, value) and Key dates (submission deadline, bidder questions end date, contract start and end). Use the calendar icon next to a date to add it to your calendar.
4
Check the buyer documents
On the Documents tab, make sure the buyer documents are there. Reports and buyer questions need them.
5
Generate the reports you need
6
Decide
- To bid, click Create response. See Create a response.
- Not to bid, set Status (under Details) to No bid. In Mark as no bid?, add a reason so the team understands the decision, then click Mark no bid.
- To set it aside, set Status to Archived.
Manage a pursued tender from its Bid Room. A tender moves to Pursue when you create a response. From then on, you
change its status in the Bid Room, not in Pipeline.
Who can do what
- Owners, admins and editors can assign tenders, change status, manage documents, generate reports and create responses.
- Viewers can read the pipeline but not change it.
