A routine is a standing instruction Emma carries out on her own, for example “every Monday, summarise what changed in our pipeline”. Each run is a full Emma task. The result is saved in the routine’s conversation and, if you choose, also sent to Slack. Open Routines in the sidebar to see and manage them.

Create a routine

You can create a routine on the Routines page or ask Emma to set one up.
1

Open Routines and click New routine

2

Enter a Name

Enter a Name, for example “Weekly pipeline summary”.
3

Under When it runs, choose a trigger

  • On a schedule: pick Every few hours, Every day, Every weekday or On certain days, then set the Time. The preview shows “This runs: …” so you can check it.
  • When something happens: under What it watches, pick the source, such as your notifications or Slack messages. Optionally narrow it with Only for one item or Only in one area.
4

Write the instruction in What it does

In What it does, write the instruction Emma should follow each time. Be specific about what to look at and what to report.
5

Under Delivery method, choose In chat or Slack

For Slack, pick DM me or a public channel.
6

Set an end date or number of runs (optional)

Optionally open More options to set an End date or a Number of runs (optional).
7

Click Create routine

Write instructions that can stay quiet. Tell Emma what counts as worth reporting. If nothing changed, she keeps the run short instead of sending you an empty update.

Delivery

Results are always saved in the routine’s conversation (In chat, the default). With Slack, they also go to DM me or a public channel where the Reyda app is a member. An admin must connect Slack first. If it isn’t connected, the form links to Open integrations. See Slack. Microsoft Teams and email are coming soon. If Slack delivery fails, the result is still in the routine’s conversation. Reyda doesn’t resend automatically when delivery can’t be confirmed, to avoid duplicates, so check Slack first.

Manage routines

Search the list by name or instruction, or filter it by Status.
  • Use the toggle to pause or enable a routine.
  • Run now starts a run immediately.
  • Edit changes the name, prompt, trigger or delivery.
  • Delete stops all future runs. This can’t be undone.
  • View run history lists each run with a summary and its status. Click Open chat to see Emma’s full work. A run marked Skipped didn’t start, for example because the previous run was still going.

When a run needs you

A routine run follows the same rules as any Emma task. If she needs a decision or an approval, the run pauses with Needs input. Open the run’s chat, answer, and she continues from where she stopped.

Limits and permissions

  • Routines run with their creator’s permissions. If the creator loses edit access, Reyda pauses the routine. Owners, admins and editors can create routines; viewers can’t.
  • Every run uses credits, like any other Emma task. See Plans and credits.
  • Your organization can have a set number of routines. If you reach the limit, delete one to make room. See Limits.
  • Very frequent schedules aren’t allowed. The form offers hourly and daily options. For a custom schedule, ask Emma.
The opportunity briefing. Reyda sets up one routine for you: the Opportunity briefing. You can change its schedule or pause it, but Reyda manages its job. See Opportunity briefing.
