Quality questions, often called method statements, are where most tenders are won or lost. Emma drafts answers that follow the buyer’s question and scoring criteria and draw on your own evidence. You add judgment, accept or reject her edits, and own the final wording.

Who it’s for

Bid writers and subject experts who need a strong first draft fast, and who want every claim backed by something real.

Before you start

  • The tender is in a Bid Room and its requirements are extracted. See Respond to a tender end to end.
  • Your Library holds relevant case studies, policies, CVs, and certificates. Add reusable text as snippets.
  • Your past projects are recorded under Settings → Experience (an owner or admin can add them).

Steps

1

Find the quality questions

Open the Bid Room and check the Requirements tab for questions classified as Evaluation driver or under Structured responses and signatures. Note any word or page limits.
2

Ask Emma to map questions to evidence

Ask Emma to map each question to evidence before she writes anything.

Ask Emma

3

Fill the gaps Emma flags

Upload missing documents to the Library, or attach a file directly in chat with Upload from computer. You can also type @ in the composer to point Emma at a specific library document or snippet.
4

Ask Emma to draft

If the buyer supplied a response template, ask her to write into it so the format stays intact.

5

Review in the document workbench

In a working document, select a passage and choose Instruct AI to request a targeted change. Then step through the result with Previous change and Next change, and Accept or Reject each one.
6

Check the sources

Hover over citation markers or open the Sources panel. Remove any claim you cannot stand behind.
7

Ask a colleague to review

Ask a colleague to review by adding a comment, then use Address with AI to send their feedback to Emma.
8

Save your best answer for next time

Select the text and ask Emma to save it as a snippet. See Reuse past bids.

What Emma does and what you decide

Tips

Brief like you would brief a writer. Name the question, the limit, the evidence to use, and the tone. “Make it better” gets a generic rewrite. “Add a measurable outcome from the hospital project to paragraph two” gets a useful one.
  • Use Research mode for questions that need outside context, such as a buyer’s published strategy.
  • In a working document, type / and choose Draft this section with AI to draft a single section in place.
  • Do not paste confidential client details into answers unless your contract allows it. Emma uses what is in your library, so curate it.
