# Keyboard shortcuts

> The keyboard shortcuts that work in Emma's chat, comments, the document editor and other parts of Reyda.

Reyda has no global keyboard shortcuts or command palette. The shortcuts below work inside specific parts of the app.

## Chat with Emma

| Keys | What it does |
| - | - |
| Enter | Send your message |
| Shift + Enter | Start a new line |
| @ | Mention a tender, library document, snippet, template, email or section |
| Up / Down arrows, then Enter | Choose an item in the @ mention list |
| Esc | Close the mention list |

## Emma's questions

On a **Needs input** card, the card shows which keys pick an option. If you type your own answer under **Other**, press Enter to submit it.

## Comments

| Keys | What it does |
| - | - |
| Cmd + Enter (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter (Windows) | Post the comment |
| @ | Mention a colleague, or **@Emma** in a Bid Room |
| Esc | Cancel |

## Document editor

| Keys | What it does |
| - | - |
| / | Open slash commands, such as headings, lists, **Draft this section with AI** and **Create draft proposal with AI** |
| Up / Down arrows, then Enter | Choose a slash command |
