# Pipeline overview

> Qualify tenders in Pipeline before your team commits to a bid, using the Triage, Pursue, No bid and Archived statuses.

**Pipeline** is where you decide whether to bid. "Qualify tenders before your team commits to a bid response." Every tender you add from Opportunities lands here in **Triage**, with an owner, key dates and reports that help you make a go/no-go call.

## What you can do

* Add tenders from **Opportunities** with **Add to pipeline**.
* Assign each tender to a colleague.
* Generate a [Bid/no-bid report](https://reyda.mintlify.site/pipeline/bid-no-bid-report.md), a [Buyer activity report](https://reyda.mintlify.site/pipeline/buyer-activity-report.md) and [Proposed buyer questions](https://reyda.mintlify.site/pipeline/buyer-questions.md).
* Record the decision: **Pursue** (by creating a response), **No bid** or **Archived**.

## Statuses

| Status | What it means | How it gets there |
| - | - | - |
| **Triage** | Waiting for a go/no-go decision. | **Add to pipeline** in Opportunities, or **Restore** from **No bid** or **Archived**. |
| **Pursue** | You're bidding. The tender has a Bid Room, and you manage the bid from there. | **Create response** on a tender in **Triage**. This can't be undone from Pipeline. |
| **No bid** | Your team decided not to bid. The reason you add stays with the tender. | **No bid** on a tender in **Triage**. |
| **Archived** | Set aside, but restorable. | **Archive** on a tender in **Triage** or **No bid**. |

The page has a tab for each status, and you can search by tender or buyer.

## Add a tender to the pipeline

**1. In **Opportunities**, find the tender**

**2. Click **Add to pipeline** on the card or on the detail page**

**3. Open **Pipeline****

The tender is in **Triage** and assigned to you. "New tenders are assigned to you by default".

## Work a tender in Triage

**1. Click **Review** on the row to open the tender**

**2. Under **Assignee**, choose who owns the decision**

**3. Check the details and key dates**

Check **Details** (buyer, contact, current supplier, value) and **Key dates** (submission deadline, bidder questions end date, contract start and end). Use the calendar icon next to a date to add it to your calendar.

**4. Check the buyer documents**

On the **Documents** tab, make sure the buyer documents are there. Reports and buyer questions need them.

**5. Generate the reports you need**

**6. Decide**

* To bid, click **Create response**. See [Create a response](https://reyda.mintlify.site/pipeline/create-a-response.md).
* Not to bid, set **Status** (under **Details**) to **No bid**. In **Mark as no bid?**, add a reason so the team understands the decision, then click **Mark no bid**.
* To set it aside, set **Status** to **Archived**.

From the list, use the row menu (**More options**) for **No bid**, **Archive** or **Restore**. **Restore** moves a tender back to **Triage** and clears its no-bid reason.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Manage a pursued tender from its Bid Room.** A tender moves to **Pursue** when you create a response. From then on, you
> change its status in the Bid Room, not in Pipeline.

## Who can do what

* Owners, admins and editors can assign tenders, change status, manage documents, generate reports and create responses.
* Viewers can read the pipeline but not change it.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Qualify tenders on a computer.** Pipeline is in the sidebar on a computer but not in the phone menu. On a phone, the most recent
> Triage items appear under **Recent Pipeline** on **Home**.

## Ask Emma

Emma can add tenders to the pipeline and generate the reports for you. Decisions to bid, not to bid, and anything about pricing always come back to you.

Ask Emma

Add the three most relevant recommended tenders from this week to our pipeline.

Ask Emma

Read this tender and its documents and tell me what we would need to decide before the questions
deadline.

Ask Emma

For this pipeline item, generate the bid/no-bid report and the buyer activity report, then give me
your recommendation in three sentences.
