# Emma's browser

> Watch Emma work on procurement portals and public websites in the Reyda browser, and take control when a step needs you.

Some answers only exist on a website: a deadline change on a procurement portal, a clarification answer, a buyer's published policy. Emma can open these pages in the **Reyda browser**, a remote browser that runs inside your workspace. You can watch what she does and take over at any point.

## When Emma uses the browser

Emma uses the browser when the authoritative answer is on a public website and Reyda's own data or a web search isn't enough. For example:

* confirming a deadline or a notice change on the buyer's portal;
* checking for new clarification answers or addenda;
* reading a buyer's published strategy or policy;
* looking at a portal you have no feed for.

Emma tries the portal herself before asking you to check a public fact.

## Watch and take control

The browser opens beside the chat automatically when Emma starts browsing. You can also open it with **Open browser** in the chat header.

The panel works like a normal browser, with tabs, **Back**, **Forward**, **Reload** and an address bar.

To step in:

**1. Click **Take control****

The panel shows **You have control**, and Emma pauses her actions in the browser.

**2. Do what's needed**

Do what's needed, for example sign in to the portal or accept a cookie banner.

**3. Click **Return to agent****

The panel shows **Agent has control** and Emma carries on from the current page.

Use **Save screenshot** to keep a copy of what's on screen.

### After Emma finishes

* Pages Emma left open stay available for a while after her work completes, so you can look at what she found.
* Sign-ins can carry over. If you sign in to a portal in the browser, you may not need to sign in again in another chat.

## Steps that need you

Emma stops and asks you, with a **Needs input** card, when a site needs:

* a sign-in or registration you haven't authorised;
* a CAPTCHA, identity check or two-factor code;
* a payment, or acceptance of terms;
* a declaration only a person can make.

Emma never tries to get around anti-bot checks. She doesn't ask for passwords in the chat. If a step needs your credentials, take control and type them into the browser yourself. If other work can continue meanwhile, she carries on and comes back to the browser task when you're done.

## How you stay in control

* **Portal actions stay with you.** Emma reads and checks portals. Submitting bids, registering interest and messaging buyers are left to you.
* **Your network stays separate.** The browser runs inside Reyda, isolated from your computer and company network, and only reaches public websites.
* **You can step in at any time.** Click **Take control** whenever you want. If the browser runs into a problem, the rest of Emma's work carries on.
* **You can check her findings.** Emma cites the pages she relied on.

Emma's AI work while browsing uses credits. See [Plans and credits](https://reyda.mintlify.site/account/plans-and-credits.md).

## Example

Bid Room

Check the buyer's portal for this tender. Has the submission deadline changed, and have any
clarification answers been published since we downloaded the documents?
